Ways to Help
Waikiki Kitty Club runs entirely on volunteer power. Whether you have
a few hours a week or just a few minutes to spare, you can make a
difference for our community cats.
- Feeding Crew: Join a rotating schedule to deliver
breakfast or dinner to our colonies. Feeders provide food and water,
clean up the area, and report any health issues or newcomers.
- Trapping Team: Learn to operate humane traps and
transport cats safely to veterinary clinics. CatFriends trains
volunteers to trap and assist at spay/neuter clinics.
- Clinic Helper: Assist with paperwork, cleaning traps
and monitoring cats during recovery at veterinary clinics. Volunteers
also help distribute TNRM information and photographs.
- Foster & Adoption: Care for kittens or friendly adults
until they are ready for adoption. Provide socialization, playtime
and love. Organizations like Poi Dogs & Popoki rely on fosters to
house cats until they are placed in permanent homes.
- Fundraising & Outreach: Organize supply drives,
educational workshops and community events. Help us spread the word
about responsible cat care and raise funds for spay/neuter surgeries.
Donate Supplies
In addition to monetary donations, we gratefully accept in‑kind gifts.
CatFriends notes that each sterilization surgery costs about $30 and that
donations of food and clinic supplies keep their operations running
.
- Dry and canned cat food (prefer grain‑free and high‑protein)
- Bleach, paper towels and disposable gloves for cleaning traps
- LED flashlights and headlamps for night trapping
- Fleece blankets and towels for recovery
- Pet carriers and humane traps (in good condition)
- Gift cards to local pet stores or veterinary clinics
Donate Funds
Financial contributions pay for spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations,
microchips and emergency veterinary care. If you would like to
contribute, please visit our donation page or contact us directly. We
are a volunteer group and every dollar goes directly toward helping
Waikiki’s cats.
