Waikiki Kitty Club

Who We Are

Waikiki Kitty Club is a grassroots collective of caretakers, feeders and animal advocates based in Honolulu. Inspired by the success of local organisations such as CatFriends and Aloha Kitty TNR, we formed to ensure that Waikiki’s feral and abandoned cats receive humane care. Our volunteers provide food and fresh water every morning, trap and transport cats for spay/neuter surgeries, foster kittens, and help reunite lost pets with their families. We collaborate with local veterinarians and the Hawaiian Humane Society to deliver affordable sterilization services.

Our Approach

We follow the trap–neuter–return–manage (TNRM) model recommended by the City & County of Honolulu’s Free‑Roaming Cat Program. All cats in our colonies are humanely trapped, sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped and ear‑tipped before being returned to their home territory. Regular colony monitoring allows us to track newcomers, prevent breeding and ensure each cat stays healthy.
